Why small groups
Every group is capped at five pupils. Here's why that works so well.
Hearing how another child reasoned through a problem shows your child new ways to think, which one-to-one lessons can't offer.
In a group, children explain their answers out loud. Putting thinking into words is one of the surest ways to make learning stick.
Working at pace alongside others feels like the exam room, so test day holds fewer surprises.
Children work harder and enjoy lessons more when they learn alongside others aiming for the same goal.
With five pupils at most, the tutor knows every child's strengths and gaps and every child takes part.
A group lesson costs about half as much as one-to-one, so your child can have more lessons for the same budget.
Exam preparation
Structured preparation for grammar school entry. Children learn the reasoning behind each question type, then build speed and accuracy with timed practice and full mock papers.
Focused preparation for the Key Stage 2 national tests in Year 6. Children practise every paper, learn how marks are awarded and build the confidence to show what they know.
Preparation for independent and selective school entrance assessments: online pre-tests, school-set papers in English and maths, creative writing and entrance interviews.
